About Town and Country Homes, Inc.

Native-born Jim Humphrey founded Town and Country Homes, Inc. in 1987. After working as a carpenter, foreman, superintendent, construction manager and then Vice President of a national home building company, it was time to strike out on his own!

After a number of years of building subdivisions in the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas, Town and Country decided to move north of the Valley and concentrate on building luxury, custom homes in the beautiful high Sonoran desert areas of Carefree, Cave Creek, North Scottsdale and Desert Hills. They have chosen this area because it provides large home sites in prestigious communities which incorporate panoramic views, open spaces, privacy and the feeling of freedom and security in the midst of nature.

Knowing that the atmosphere and tone of a home greatly influence one's life, Town and Country always strives to create homes that blend with the outer environment while providing warmth and tranquility inside the home...a private refuge for family and guests.

As Town and Country has evolved over the years, a number of core principles of building have also evolved:

These principles still guide Town and Country. Jim personally acts as Project Manager on every home the Company builds. He works together with the architect, engineer, interior designer and the on-site superintendent to ensure the coordination of all project team members. From the start, laying the home out with the grading contractor, all the way to adding the final touches at the completion of the home, Jim is actively involved.

In order to produce a home of excellent quality, you have to be particular about the subcontractors all the way through a project. Town and Country has developed long-term relationships with their subs, some for over 20 years. They share the commitment to excellence and professionalism. All of this instills confidence, harmony and peace of mind for the buyer.
